It is imperative for every international (and sometimes local) buying and / or sales contract to be ruled by the so called Incoterms®. These Incoterms® state who pays for what and who is liable to which point of the transaction. How do you make the most out of the Incoterms® 2010?

The Incoterms® rules, as published by the International Chamber of Commerce, have become an essential part of the daily language of trade. They have been incorporated in contracts for the sale of goods worldwide and provide rules and guidance to importers, exporters, lawyers, transporters, insurers and students of international trade.

The important thing now is how to put them into practice to be of the most benefit to you, our valued customer. Make sure that your Forwarder discusses these terms with you so that you fully understand your risk and potential cost. The idea is to have the highest possible control which the least possible liability.
